Firefighter Paramedic

Job Description:  Responsible for providing emergency fire suppression and medical services and for responding to non emergency situations.  Duties may include: responding to rescue emergencies and hazardous materials emergencies; rescuing individuals from emergency situations; responding to fire and medical emergencies; performing skilled work in patient assessment, treatment and transportation; participating in continuous education activities/classes; positioning and operating hoses;and, performing Certified Emergency Paramedic (CEP) functions.
Salary: Starting salary is $48,723 - $52,203 depending on experience. A generous benefit package is included. Assignments will be based on a 48/96 hour schedule.​

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ​

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  •  Valid Drivers License
  • Fire 1 & Fire 2
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) certification (National    Registry or Arizona)
  • Card issued by AHA confirming current status of CPR training
  •  A current card issued by AHA confirming current ACLS and PALS status
  • Proof of immunizations
  •  Must reside within 150 miles of Station 1 on 1260 Hancock Rd within 6 months of employment offer. . 

TESTING PROCESS​

Candidates are required to complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ), CPAT & FireTeam Exam through the National Testing Network Between Sept. 23rd - TBA

Additional Consideration is given for Paramedic Certification, Military Service and Current Employees (Packet Must be Completed, if applicable).
