Born and raised in Kingman, Arizona, Assistant Chief Shane Campbell comes from a proud family tradition of fire service. With his father retiring from the Kingman Fire Department and his uncle retiring from the Bullhead City Fire Department, Shane was inspired early on by their commitment and passion for helping others. Surrounded by strong role models, he was drawn to the values of selflessness, integrity, and community service that define the fire service.
Shane began his career with the Bullhead City Fire Department in 2006 as a reserve firefighter. Over the years, he has promoted through every rank, earning the position of Assistant Chief of Operations in 2025. Throughout his career, he has remained active in numerous areas of the department, including serving as a fire academy instructor, technical rescue technician, peer team member, and contributing to several committees. He has also had the opportunity to support wildland fire operations and deploy with FEMA for hurricane response efforts in the southern United States. Dedicated to personal and professional growth, Shane has pursued formal education in Fire Science and Fire Administration. He is especially passionate about developing others and works closely with the Training Division to support Bullhead's personnel's growth, readiness, and leadership development. Above all, Shane credits his wife and two daughters for their unwavering support and sacrifices throughout his career. Their love and encouragement have been the foundation of his success. As Assistant Chief of Operations, Shane is committed to ensuring that the department’s mission is carried out each day by empowering personnel with the tools, support, and leadership they need to best serve the residents and visitors of Bullhead City. |
